What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture involves placing thin, hair-like needles on specific points (acupoints) on the body to promote the body’s natural flow of energy (qi). It’s believed that when an individual’s qi becomes congested, they experience pain, discomfort, stress, or sickness. Therefore, acupuncture is intended to remove those blockages to promote relief.

What to Expect During Your Visit

When you come for treatment with me you will receive a consultation in which I will assess your specific needs. There is no one size fits all approach to holistic healing and your health needs may differ from others. Part of my assessment will be to take notes on your health history and current issues. In addition, I will read your wrist pulses which will indicate to me where you might need acupuncture to first balance your meridians and overall health.

We will discuss your needs and determine the best course of action to accomplish your goals. Some people come for acupuncture and or cupping- therapy alone on a regular basis to increase balance, energy and sense of well- being.

You can get help for:

  • overall balancing

  • specific health and wellness issues

  • pain elimination or management

  • natural face lift (PRP)
